Overview

As a Tendering Engineer in our PPR (Pump, Parts & Retrofit) team, you will develop retrofit and upgrade solutions for pumps across the EMEA region, working on engineered‑to‑order projects that demand technical creativity and problem‑solving. The PPR team delivers innovative solutions globally, manufacturing spare parts, duplicate pumps, and executing retrofits for OEM and non‑OEM equipment, including hydraulic re‑rates, mechanical redesigns, metallurgy upgrades and reliability improvements.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and deliver technically and commercially optimized proposals for retrofit and upgrade projects.
* Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Operations and suppliers to develop winning solutions.
* Manage bid strategies, ensuring compliance with Sulzer’s commercial guidelines and risk mitigation.
* Obtain and evaluate sub‑vendor offers for mechanical seals, motors and other components.
* Support client meetings, site visits and handover processes to ensure smooth project execution.
This role is ideal for engineers with strong pump knowledge who want to make a real impact supporting the energy transition and extending the life of critical rotating equipment. Qualifications and Experience
* Preferred experience includes Sales, Tendering or Applications within mechanical or hydraulic engineering. We are also open to candidates with strong pump and rotating‑equipment expertise looking to transition into a new career path.
* Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills; proficiency in SAP and MS Office.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and adapt to change.
* Willingness to travel (>15 %).

* Applicants must be based in the UK to ensure connectivity with our central hub in Leeds, but we welcome candidates from outside the Leeds area who are willing and able to travel to Leeds or other UK sites when necessary.
