Purpose of the role Business activity at Garmin Swansea has grown significantly over the past 12 months, placing increased demands on the Quality function. To maintain our high standards and effectively support expanding production, we require an additional Quality Technician to ensure operational efficiency and continued product excellence. Key Duties and responsibilities Responsible for ensuring that internal products and processes meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. Perform inspections, tests, and measurements on incoming materials and finished goods, document results, identify defects or deviations, and assist in implementing corrective actions. Maintain quality records, support internal and external audits, and ensuring test equipment is properly calibrated. Collaborating with production and engineering teams to improve product quality and process efficiency. Communicate effectively with suppliers, associates & senior management where required Ensure conformance with ISO 9001 processes and procedures. Education and Experience Minimum GCSEs (Grades A*C / 94) in: Maths, English, Science or a technical subject Degree (Desirable) Engineering or Manufacturing background Hands-on experience with in-process, final, and first-off inspections Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Proficiency in root cause analysis, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective actions (CAPA) Excellent organisational and analytical skills Ability to manage & prioritise workload as required Demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude related to using tools and measurement devices (i.e. hand tools, calipers, gages, etc.) Comfortable working in a fast-paced and challenging environment Demonstrates strong electrical aptitude related to operating electrical equipment and test devices (i.e. multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.) Benefits 21 days holiday a year rising to 26 days with service, plus all public and Bank Holidays.
