The Governing Body of St. Saviour's Church of England Junior School are seeking to appoint a Child Protection Officer.
The post is initially for one year and is for eighteen hours per week - probably distributed over three days but this is negotiable.
You will be:
1. Logging, updating and addressing safeguarding concerns
2. Making Requests for Support to the Front Door Team
3. Attending CiN, CP, ICPCs and core group meetings with social workers and other partners
4. Completing regular update training as a deputy DSL
5. Advising school staff on best practice regarding safeguarding and associated record-keeping
Successful candidates will:
6. Be committed to working within a team to deliver the best possible outcomes for our children
7. Have the people skills to offer support but also challenge stakeholders
8. Have a very good knowledge of safeguarding practice in schools
9. Experience of working in Child Protection / safeguarding in a school, police or local authority
