Cygnet Healthcare are looking for Activity Coordinator to join our team at brand New Service Cygnet Hospital Oldbury opening in Summer 2024 .Cygnet Hospital Oldbury is our new state-of-the-art PICU & Acute hospital for women, in the West Midlands.
Main duties of the job
At Cygnet Hospital Oldbury you will be working 42 hours per week working across a shift pattern. The service will feature two wards. A 12 bed PICU ward and a 15 bed Acute ward. Cygnet Hospital Oldbury will have a full multi-disciplinary team (MDT) and will support the acute needs of adults requiring rapid access to mental health services, including those who may need an intensive care environment. We are seeking an academically strong candidate to support and enhance the care of patients at the service by assisting the Occupational Therapists.

Your Day-to-Day at Cygnet Hospital Oldbury
We are seeking an academically strong candidate to support and enhance the care of patients at the service by assisting the Occupational Therapist with;
1. Encouraging patients to access and become involved in a variety of activities as well maintaining any pre-existing hobbies.
2. Planning and implementing therapy programmes whilst ensuring appropriate materials are obtained
3. Contributing ideas, facilitating events and activities in a safe manner
Were looking for someone who has
4. Experience and/or a passion for working in healthcare
5. Some knowledge of Occupational Therapy
6. A creative flair and the ability to work as part of a interdisciplinary team
7. An awareness of recovery approaches and social inclusion (desirable)
