We are partnered with a well respected London Market insurance syndicate recruiting for an IT Project Manager. As the IT Project Manager, you will pro-actively project manage large-scale, strategic initiatives and/or multiple medium sized initiatives with competing deadlines in line with the Change Management Framework.
You will be able to:
* Trouble-shoot and resolve complex challenges
* Combine strong project governance and assurance discipline with overall ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
* Support both the Portfolio Delivery Manager and Head of IT Delivery in evolving the Change Management Framework/delivery methodologies and championing their benefits across the business
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake all aspects of the planning process, maintaining and managing detailed plans throughout the project life cycle, taking account of dependencies and resource requirements
* Work with all stakeholders, contributors, vendors and suppliers (including IT) to ensure project deliverables are met to plan and budget
* Strong vendor engagement and management capability, building and maintaining relationships which represent the business positively
* Own the necessary project documentation, ensuring all project documents are complete, accurate, current and stored appropriately
* Develop the Business Case in consultation with the various stakeholders and suppliers
* Ensure that the Business Case is regularly reviewed and updated throughout the life cycle of the project, incorporating any subsequent Change Requests
* Extensive stakeholder engagement with peers and customers
* Maintain a holistic understanding of the portfolio, with an awareness of dependencies, pre-empting conflicts and prompting discussion in PM forums
* Bring an inquisitive mind-set, not afraid to ask questions and / or challenge accepted norms and championing continuous improvement
* Excellent visual presentation skills with the ability to dissect complex issues and articulate options/solutions to stakeholders
* ·upport stakeholders in making the recommended changes, including helping to resolve any issues.
* Where necessary, act as a 'translator' between IT & customer needs to ensure clarity of what is required
* Support stakeholders in the embedding, handover and closure of projects into business as usual
