About the Role:
This full-time History Teacher role is based in a thriving secondary school in the Buttershaw area of Bradford. You will be teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering a challenging and knowledge-rich curriculum based on the AQA specification. You'll work within a forward-thinking Humanities Faculty, supported by a dedicated Subject Lead for History and a collaborative team who share a deep commitment to excellence in the humanities.

Essential Requirements
* QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
* Eligibility to work in the UK
* Strong knowledge of the AQA GCSE specification is highly desirable
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

* Ability to differentiate for a range of abilities
* Skilled in using assessment to inform planning
* Passion for fostering enquiry and curiosity
* Creative, engaging lesson planning
* Strong communication with staff, students and parents
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Plan and teach in line with the department's schemes of work
* Use formative and summative assessment to track student progress
* Provide written and verbal feedback that helps students improve
* Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners
* Monitor student progress and intervene when needed
* Promote a love of History and academic curiosity
* Organise or support educational visits and historical workshops
* Support literacy development through extended texts and historical vocabulary
* Promote diversity through inclusive representation in curriculum materials
