Main duties
As a Cerebral Palsy Support Worker, you will be responsible for delivering personalized care and support to a 13-year-old female client with Cerebral Palsy. This includes assisting with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation, as well as administering medication and monitoring the client\'s health conditions. You will also accompany the client on community outings and provide emotional support and companionship. The role requires flexibility to work the specified hours, which include term-time weekends and full-time during school holidays.

Cerebral Palsy Support Worker
Location: Sketty
Hours: 2:1 Term time 10am – 7pm Saturday & Sunday / Wednesday 12pm – 7pm; 7 days a week through the holidays 10am - 7pm
Pay: £17 per hour weekdays, £18 per hour weekend shifts
We are looking for a compassionate, dedicated, adaptable and reliable female support workers to join our team and provide tailored support to a teenage girl with complex needs.
Due to role responsibilities, you must have a full UK driving licence.
About the Client: Our client is a 13-year-old female with Cerebral Palsy and she is wheelchair dependent, however a physio has identified she can stand and walk for small periods.
She is PEG fed and medicated so previous experience desirable, or knowledge of this supported by internal training provided.
You will be out in the community carrying out activities such as bowling, discos, drama, arts crafts, beach walks etc., so we are searching for fun, energetic carers!
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver personalized care and support to our client
* Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation
* Administer medication and monitor health conditions
* Accompany client in the community on 2:1 ratio
* Provide emotional support and companionship
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client\'s condition
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements:
* Experience in a similar role, ideally supporting clients with challenging behaviours
* Experience with Cerebral Palsy & PEG
* Awareness of Crohn\'s disease and Makaton
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Energetic, upbeat, and empathetic nature
* Awareness of accessibility - knowledge of wheelchair friendly routes, transport and venues
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Flexibility to work the specified hours
* Valid UK driver\'s license
