Hydrasun are recruiting for a Hydraulic Technician based in our Teesside facility. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, overhaul, and repair of hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, and instrumentation systems across UK and overseas operations. This role also provides technical leadership to a team of technicians, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with company and industry standards. You will contribute to reliability improvements, safe systems of work, and high-quality technical documentation. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Lead, coordinate and mentor a team of multiskilled technicians, ensuring effective contribution and collaboration. * Plan, allocate and oversee daily maintenance and project tasks to ensure safe, timely and efficient completion. * Provide technical guidance, ensuring full compliance with company procedures, engineering specifications and safety standards. * Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and instrumentation systems. * Troubleshoot system faults, support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime. * Overhaul, service and test pumps, motors, valves and associated hydraulic/mechanical equipment. * Review engineering drawings, including schematics, P&IDs and GA documents, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance. * Ensure quality assurance standards are met for new installations, maintenance activities and documentation requirements. * Maintain accurate records across maintenance, calibration, safety checks and technical reporting. * Produce clear, detailed technical service reports to support engineering documentation packs. Essential Experience, Qualifications and Competencies * HND/HNC or City & Guilds Mechanical qualification. * Hands-on experience in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic or instrumentation environments. * Ability to read and interpret hydraulic/pneumatic schematics, P&IDs and GA drawings. * Experience in overhauling, testing and maintaining pumps, motors, control valves and associated equipment. * Strong troubleshooting, servicing and maintenance capability across hydraulic and mechanical systems. * Experience in bolt torquing, joint integrity and understanding hydraulic/instrument fittings and thread forms. * Experience with hydraulic accumulator pre-charging, servicing and general maintenance. * Proficiency in MS Office and associated computer-based reporting systems. * Willingness to work away from home and adapt to customer requirements and project timeframes. * CCNSG Safety Passport and Working at Height training. * Basic competency certificate in hydraulics/pneumatics. Desirable Experience, Qualifications and Competencies * Diploma or HNC in Mechanical, Hydraulic or Instrumentation Engineering. * IOSH Working Safely, BOSIET/FOET, and ECITB TSBT 01–03. * Experience within oil & gas, marine or petrochemical industries. * Knowledge of high-pressure gas management systems and marine hydraulic systems. * Experience commissioning hydraulic, mechanical or pneumatic equipment. * Experience in hydraulic flushing, pressure testing and small‑bore tubing installation. * Parker product knowledge. * Advanced hydraulics, PSSR, SBEX, IPAF, confined space entry or gas systems training.
