Role
Randstad are looking for a passionate Science Teacher for a long term placement in an outstanding Special Educational Needs school based in Knowsley. As a successful candidate, you will be teaching between the ages of 11-19, working closely with students with Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties). You must follow Educational and Health Care Plans to provide the best care for every child. The ideal candidate will be Team Teach Trained, or willing to undertake training.
The role is available on a full time basis, as soon as possible (School hours are 8:30-15:30).

Your responsibilities
6. Recognising pupils as individuals, and providing them with a personalised education that nurtures them socially, emotionally, mentally and academically
7. Safeguarding all children
8. Working with students with a range of learning difficulties and SEMH needs, including ADHD, autism, and challenging behaviour
9. Supporting and guiding Teaching Assistants
10. Attending staff meetings and liaising with colleagues/families
Requirements
11. An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one)
12. QTS and a degree qualification in teaching (PGCE)
13. Strong experience working with children with SEN and SEMH
14. Being passionate about teaching and learning
15. Tailoring your approach to the individual needs of children
16. Team Teach Trained (preferable)
