Warrington or Preston (hybrid working possible)
£44 - £61 per hour (Umbrella, inside IR35)
12-month contract
Must be eligible for BPSS clearance
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior EC&I Engineer to join a pioneering nuclear project that is shaping the future of clean energy and fuel security in the UK. The Role
As Senior EC&I Engineer, you'll be responsible for the delivery of engineering and technical activities, providing expertise across design, analysis, safety, and technical leadership. You will:
* Lead and support engineering activities across the full project lifecycle.
* Produce, review, and approve calculations, drawings, models, and technical documentation.
* Contribute to project safety assessments and risk management processes.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
* Ensure adherence to all relevant codes, standards, and engineering best practices.
* Act as Technical Authority or Engineering Lead where required.
* Support business development through input into tenders and proposals.
What We're Looking For
* Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
* Chartered Engineer status (or working towards).
* Proven experience delivering EC&I engineering activities within complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
* Strong technical knowledge and the ability to resolve engineering challenges across a range of complexities.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable:
* Membership of a relevant professional institute.
* Experience managing engineering scope from concept through to EPC delivery.
* Background in commercial or defence nuclear projects.
