Our Trust is seeking an exceptional Religious Education Lead Teacher to champion high-quality RE across our family of primary and secondary schools in Essex and East London. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an ambitious practitioner who is passionate about Religious Education and its power to shape thoughtful, informed and respectful global citizens.
About the Role
As our RE Lead Teacher, you will:
· Provide strategic leadership for Religious Education across the Trust
· Support and coach teachers to deliver excellent RE provision in line with national and local expectations
· Develop a rich, inclusive, and engaging RE curriculum that reflects our diverse school communities
· Model outstanding RE teaching and contribute to Trust-wide training and professional development
· Build strong partnerships with local faith and belief communities
· Ensure RE is delivered in a way that promotes understanding, critical thinking, and respect for all worldviews
You will work across both primary and secondary phases, collaborating with subject leaders, senior leadership teams, and class teachers to drive high standards and consistency.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
· An outstanding teacher of RE with a strong track record of impact
· Passionate about RE and committed to promoting religious literacy
· A skilled curriculum designer with an understanding of progression from EYFS to KS5
· A confident coach and facilitator, able to inspire colleagues at all levels
· Knowledgeable about the locally agreed syllabus and national guidance for Religious Education
· Organised, proactive, and ready to work across multiple schools
Prior leadership experience is desirable but not essential - we welcome applications from excellent practitioners ready to take the next step.
