What you’ll be doing:
1. Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial and supplier contracts
2. Supporting operational and central teams with day-to-day legal queries
3. Translating legal risk into clear, practical advice for non legal colleagues
4. Managing disputes and claims proportionately and commercially
5. Assisting with regulatory and compliance matters, including consumer facing issues
6. Supporting ESG related initiatives, policies and reporting obligations
7. Working efficiently using templates, playbooks and agreed processes
8. Contributing to improvements in how legal work is prioritised, tracked and delivered
9. Operating confidently within agreed risk parameters

Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need:
11. Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with approximately 2–3 years’ PQE
12. Strong commercial private practice background with some in-house exposure, or already working in-house within a lean team
13. Comfortable dealing directly with business stakeholders
14. Experience or interest in legal operations, process improvement or building efficient ways of working would be an advantage.
15. Be clear and practical in how you communicate advice
16. Be organised and comfortable handling a varied workload
17. Be comfortable balancing risk and pragmatism in an operational environment
