Job Summary
This role is based in our Colchester Office, Colchester, England, United Kingdom. The Tax & Financial Accounting team is a global entity tasked with the preparation and filing of indirect and direct tax returns, statutory account filings, and treasury back office functions. This role is pivotal in ensuring high standards of service delivery within agreed timelines.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and submit VAT returns to a high standard in line with timetable, including both UK and overseas VAT returns
* Prepare and submit EC Sales lists
* Prepare annual PSA return
* Ensure all relevant queries are followed up in a timely manner
* Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations to a high standard and to deadline
* Assist with the review of Assistant Accountants' work as required
* Assist with monitoring team inboxes and responding on a timely basis
* Assist with preparation of information for internal and external stakeholders on an adhoc basis
* Assist with adhoc project work as required
Qualifications & Skills
* Strong academic background; Accounting degree preferable
* Good communication skills with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, internal departments and key contacts
* Able to build relationships with stakeholders within and outside of the organisation
* Evidence of making decisions at the right time based on available information
