Data and Reporting Technology Manager
The purpose of the Data and Reporting Technology Manager is to lead the responsibility for building and operating the Data & Reporting Centre of Excellence services and deliverables.
The Centre of Excellence will serve as a focal point in the business for data management, analysis, quality tools, and services, including operations control, MI & KPI reports, and dashboards. The role requires identifying, procuring, establishing platform technologies, and optimizing outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Define, build, and operate the services and deliverables of the Data & Reporting Centre of Excellence, including processes, tooling, and skills.
2. Create and maintain the group Data Strategy, ensuring projects support its implementation and stakeholders uphold their responsibilities.
3. Build, lead, motivate, and develop a team of technology specialists, fostering a culture of quality and customer service with a continuous improvement ethos, including managing both employed staff and third-party providers.
4. Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, identifying technology needs, agreeing on delivery roadmaps, and ensuring timely, quality delivery.
5. Manage the full lifecycle of Centre of Excellence deliverables, including resource access and external/internal coordination.
6. Own business cases for new technologies and drive benefits realization and ROI.
7. Oversee lifecycle management of technology products, including support and maintenance.
8. Ensure quality documentation for support, maintenance, and knowledge transfer.
9. Maintain vendor relationships to support technology support and delivery.
10. Manage technology spend, aligning with financial planning and budgets.
11. Stay updated on technology trends and regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related subject (advantageous).
* Understanding of data management principles.
* Understanding of reporting development lifecycle.
* Stakeholder engagement experience with senior managers.
* Experience building delivery roadmaps and executing them.
* Experience managing small teams and in-house technical development teams.
* Experience managing third-party delivery (advantageous).
* Experience with data management platforms and tools.
