Anstee Bridge is a creative, alternative provision and outreach service set up within Educational Services to support year 7-11 students, for up to 18 hours a week, to facilitate better engagement with school. Students who attend Anstee Bridge have social, emotional and mental health [SEMH] challenges and often lack self-confidence and resilience. Anstee builds their confidence and helps them acquire skills through engaging in creative workshops. The projects encourage them to express themselves individually and collectively.

The Teaching Assistant / Administrative Support will support the Head of Anstee Bridge to assist in education & social/emotional development of students. The successful candidate will assist with planning, implementing and evaluating group and individualised programmes of learning experience for students and will help support and monitor their progress.
Other duties include:
* They will need to be aware, support and ensure all students have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop and promote positive values, attitudes and good student behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with established policy and encourage students to take responsibility for their own behaviour.
* The post holder will contribute to activities run by FAB (Friends of Anstee Bridge Charity) and support with administrative duties to help with the running of Anstee Bridge.
* The post holder will play an important role by liaising with mainstream schools, parents/carers and other relevant bodies to gather student information.
* The successful candidate will provide strong administrative duties within the programme.
This role is a 1 year contract on part-time hours. Your working hours will be 7.2 hours per day through Monday to Thursday. Please also note that the advertised salary is the full-time equivalent; the actual salary will be pro rata based on hours worked.
Requirements:
* Educated to Level 2 [good pass or equivalent] in Maths and English (Essential)
* NVQ 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification (Desirable)
* Able to use a range of digital hardware or software to support your work effectively i.e. Microsoft or Google software.
* Experience of keeping and maintaining records (in accordance with local policy) and producing accurate reports, presentations, written updates to a range of stakeholders (which may include families, children or young people)
