Head of Software Engineering – Market leading SaaS product (NodeJS/ReactJS)
South Yorkshire, 2 days per week, 3 remote.
Overview
Opportunities like this simply do not come around that often. My industry‑leading technology client has created a newly formed role of Head of Software Engineering to lead, motivate and inspire a team whilst driving a highly ambitious tech roadmap. Their flagship SaaS product serves over 500 customers in the UK and Europe and continues to evolve as a platform, with an exciting multi‑year roadmap and new customers on board. This new leader will work closely with the CTO, Head of Product and Head of Ops to shape overall company strategy.
Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate and inspire the Software Engineering team.
* Play a key role in the technical execution of the ambitious roadmap – defining and delivering on it across the business.
* Collaborate with the product, operations and executive teams to align technology strategy.
* Maintain a hands‑on technical presence with a JavaScript background in Node or React.
Qualifications
* Hands‑on experience with the NodeJS ecosystem and React on Azure, TypeScript, Redux, React Hooks, Bootstrap, etc.
* Previous experience leading engineering teams.
* Exposure to Azure platform; knowledge of other cloud technologies such as AWS will be considered.
* Strong leadership, inspirational, ability to get the best from people.
