A leading manufacturing and installation business is seeking an experienced SHEQ Manager to drive safety, quality, and environmental excellence across both factory operations and occasional site‑based project activities. This is a key leadership role responsible for embedding a strong safety culture, ensuringpliance with legislation, and maintaining high operational standards throughout the organisation.
Your New RoleAs SHEQ Manager, you will take ownership of all Safety, Health, Environment and Quality functions across manufacturing and installation activities. You will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of SHEQ systems, ensuring the business operates safely, efficiently, and in line with ISO standards.You will be responsible for:
1. Ensuring a safe working environment and fullpliance with H&S and environmental legislation
2. Conducting factory and site inspections, audits, and safety tours
3. Leading incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
4. Managing RAMS, risk assessments, method statements, and statutory documentation
5. Overseeing NCR management, supplier quality audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
6. Maintaining and developing the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
7. Delivering toolbox talks, safety briefings, and SHEQ training
8. Monitoring subcontractorpliance and supporting project teams on site
9. Providing SHEQ reporting and insights to senior leadership
10. Supporting customer quality documentation including ITPs and MCRs
11. Driving a proactive SHEQ culture through coaching,munication, and visible leadership
This role requires regular travel to project sites across the UK.
What You’ll Need to SucceedYou will bring strong experience in a SHEQ role within a manufacturing environment, along with exposure to construction or installation sites. You will be confident engaging with teams at all levels and capable of influencing behaviours to drive continuous improvement.Essential experience:
12. Proven SHEQ management experience in manufacturing
13. Experience supporting SHEQpliance
14. Strong understanding of safe systems of work, audits, and incident investigation
15. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
16. Experience with RAMS, risk assessments, and quality assurance processes
17. Excellentmunication, organisation, and analytical skills
Qualifications:
18. NEBOSH General Certificate
19. IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)
20. Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001
21. Internal auditor qualification (desirable)
22. Full UK driving licence
