Role Overview
In our Cambridgeshire (Cambridge and Peterborough) based Audit & Assurance team, you will work with an eclectic range of organisations, including AIM listed companies, technology, professional services and not‑for‑profit sectors.
Responsibilities
* Plan audit engagements and lead onsite teams (70% of time).
* Prepare accounts and draft tax computations (30% of time).
* Link with clients to resolve queries, escalating complex matters to manager/partner.
* Review team members’ work before passing completed file to manager.
* Coach juniors and provide feedback on quality and performance.
* Control assignment time against predetermined budget.
Experience Required
* Part‑qualified or fully qualified – ACA, ICAS, CA or ACCA (minimum).
* Experience planning and leading external audits in an accountancy practice in the UK (minimum).
* Knowledge of UK GAAP/FRS 102.
* Client‑facing experience.
* Experience with audit software (Caseware) and Microsoft packages.
