Overview
Infant Feeding Coordinator - Band 7 - 28.5 hours - 12 months FTC/secondment.
The post holder will work as part of the Trust’s newly formed Integrated Infant Feeding Team, to implement the UNICEF Baby Friendly Standards across both Hospital and community. They will be responsible for contributing to and implementing the multi-agency Tameside Infant Feeding Strategy. They will provide professional leadership and expert knowledge and advice around infant feeding. The post holder will be required to provide specialist clinical infant feeding support.
Responsibilities
The post holder will support the delivery of infant feeding services across maternity/NICU/0-19yrs community service, to increase breastfeeding rates, promote responsive bottle feeding and relationship building and influence introducing solid food practices to encourage healthy eating.
The post holder will work closely with partners in the hospital, community, primary care, Family Hubs and Maternity Voices Partnership within Tameside and a broad range of voluntary services to develop the infant feeding services across the borough.
