Job Profile for Mechanical Fitter - MC268924
Mechanical Fitter required for a manufacturer for the pharmaceutical industry based in Liverpool. The successful candidate will be an experienced mechanical fitter ideally with experience of hydraulics & pneumatics, gear boxes, motors, etc. You will be responsible for assembly and fitting of mechanical components according to engineering drawings for mains equipment projects. The role will be based mainly in the Assembly area. You will also need to be willing to travel internationally on occasion (not a lot of travel involved but there will be some; trips normally last between 1 - 2 weeks and receive an off-site allowance for this).
Mechanical Fitter - Pharmaceutical Position Overview
* Receive and maintain the 'in process inspection sheets' for each piece of equipment, signing off at each stage of build, and documenting its efficacy.
* To liaise with engineering in the resolution of problems relating to fit or function.
* Actively promote 5S within the assembly area.
* Inspection of main fabrications and vessels at supplier facilities.
* Support packing of main contracts including weights and measurements.
* To return to stores all non-conforming parts for modification in conjunction with Goods Inwards.
* Work in a safe manner at all times ensuring H&S requirements for the area are met.
* Report non-conformances via the quality systems in place.
* Perform mechanical duties as required for Pre-FAT's & FAT's.
* Support the Production Manager in daily activities and provide regular contract updates.
* Support in off-site installations.
Mechanical Fitter - Pharmaceutical Position Requirements
* Time served apprenticeship is desirable.
* HNC or equivalent qualification in mechanical engineering (equivalent experience will be considered).
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Excellent communication skills both verbally and electronically.
* Analytical & problem-solving skills.
Mechanical Fitter - Pharmaceutical Position Remuneration
Salary dependent on experience: £32,000-£37,000.
4 day week (Monday to Thursday).
