Thurrock Council is seeking a motivated, skilled, and community-driven individual to join our team as the Community Safety Partnership (CSP) Co-ordinator. This is a key role that supports the strategic delivery of the Thurrock Community Safety Partnership, working closely with partners such as Essex Police, Essex Fire & Rescue, Health, Probation, voluntary organisations, and our local communities. What you'll do: - Coordinate and support the work of the CSP and its sub-groups, ensuring smooth partnership working. - Engage residents, community leaders and hard-to-reach groups to ensure their voices shape our local safety agenda. - Plan and deliver community safety campaigns, public events, and consultation activities. - Use data, intelligence and community insight to inform local actions and support the delivery of the CSP's key priorities. - Work collaboratively to deliver the CSP's strategic aims, including tackling serious violence, reducing antisocial behaviour, addressing domestic abuse, and supporting vulnerable people. What we're looking for: - Strong experience in community engagement, partnership working or community safety. - Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. - A proactive, collaborative approach with a passion for improving outcomes for local people. - Ability to analyse data and translate insight into action. - An understanding of current crime and safety challenges, safeguarding, and public protection frameworks.
