This role is in support of Cencora's third-party logistics service in the UK through our Alloga business.
Location: Flexible, with the requirement to work at any of our South Normanton sites.
Job Type: Night Shift - Sunday-Thursday 10pm-6am
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at Alloga UK. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of warehouse operations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards, client requirements, and governing bodies. The Warehouse Supervisor will also be required to deputise for the Shift Manager as necessary.
Principal Responsibilities
* Ensure adherence to Company Health & Safety policies and standards at all times.
* Oversee departmental activities, ensuring compliance with company procedures and client instructions.
* Take ownership of daily and weekly productivity targets and ensure they are met.
* Maintain accuracy levels in warehouse operations, including Goods In management.
* Ensure compliance with cold-chain protocols and controlled drug/high-value item disciplines.
* Promote continuous improvement across all areas of contract operations.
* Ensure operations comply with MHRA and GDP standards, maintaining excellent housekeeping.
* Record, review, and address errors with corrective actions.
* Manage the Rec Report daily and ensure stock is received to client specifications within agreed timelines.
* Train, support, and monitor staff to optimise accuracy and productivity; ensure SOP training is recorded in the training database.
* Ensure equipment is used only by trained operatives.
* Conduct regular performance reviews and annual appraisals for contract operatives.
* Manage department holidays, sickness, and absences to maintain operational quality.
* Communicate effectively with contract operatives and other departments.
* Conduct return-to-work interviews and disciplinary actions in line with company procedures.
* Plan resources to meet the financial and commercial needs of Alloga UK and its clients.
* Recruit staff in accordance with company procedures and gain necessary authorisation.
* Maintain required housekeeping standards within the department.
* Deliver regular team briefings and ensure staff appearance meets company standards.
* Report all accidents and near misses immediately to the Contract and Health & Safety Managers.
* Comply with all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Training Manuals to ensure activities meet GDP, GMP, and ISO certification requirements.
* Role model behaviours aligned with the company's Guiding Principles.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* PC literate with a strong understanding of warehouse systems and activities.
* Proven people management skills with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
* Flexible approach to work, including willingness to work shifts.
* Ability to plan, prioritise, and delegate tasks effectively.
* Confident, enthusiastic, and capable of influencing and motivating team members.
* Sound knowledge of GDP and company policies and procedures.
* Minimum 2 years' experience working in a warehouse or similar environment.
* Educated to O/GCGS Level Standard.
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
* Trained in all relevant SOPs within 3 months of employment.
