Your new role
As Operations Manager - Fleet Services, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering a future-ready fleet strategy that supports operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and long-term value. You'll oversee the full vehicle lifecycle-from acquisition through maintenance to disposal-ensuring high standards across engineering, safety, and financial performance.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading fleet renewal and capital investment planning, including annual CAPEX submissions.
* Managing a diverse fleet of light and heavy commercial vehicles across multiple regions.
* Acting as Technical Authority for fleet maintenance and compliance.
* Driving cost optimisation through budgeting, financial reporting, and lease vs. buy analysis.
* Building strong relationships with maintenance providers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
* Championing sustainability initiatives and long-term strategic planning.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the organisation's fleet operations remain agile, compliant, and aligned with evolving business needs.

* Strong financial acumen and the ability to translate data into strategic decisions.
* Technical competence and a safety-first mindset, ideally with knowledge of ADR and vehicle maintenance standards.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* A strategic mindset with a track record of delivering long-term planning and continuous improvement.
* Experience managing budgets and influencing capital investment decisions.
