Overview
Join the team as a Plumber in the role of Mechanical Engineer (Plumber) at TieTalent / GFSL, based at HMP The Mount, Bovingdon, Hemel Hempstead, HP3 0NZ. This permanent, full-time position involves contributing to the Facilities Maintenance Team to support a safe and secure environment for prisoners, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team (plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, cleaners, administrators) to maintain and improve building service systems.
* Ensure compliance with Water Supply Regulations and Control of Legionella L8 requirements where applicable.
* Participate in planned preventive maintenance operations and respond to maintenance needs as required.
* Adhere to health and safety requirements and promote a safe working environment.
Qualifications
* C&G qualifications in plumbing and related mechanical services, including:
o C&G 6189 Plumbing and Domestic Heating
o C&G 5962 Certificate in Plumbing (Advanced Craft)
o C&G 6019 Mechanical Engineering Services (Plumbing)
o C&G 6018 Heating and Ventilation Installation
o C&G 6129 Certificate in Plumbing
o C&G 214 Engineering Systems Maintenance
o C&G 6188 Heating and Ventilating
o C&G 6088 Certificate in Heating and Ventilating
o C&G 6032 Advanced Craft Certificate in Plumbing
o EAL Diploma in Plumbing and Heating
* Two years’ experience as a plumber or equivalent.
* Experience with commercial or industrial heating, water, or building services systems.
* Desirable: Unvented water heater vessel course (G3); L8 awareness training (provided if required).
* Good working knowledge of planned preventive maintenance and health and safety requirements.

* Salary: £41,818.21 per annum + 5% shift allowance for weekend coverage
* Contract: Permanent, full time, 39 hours per week
