Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Dungannon, Northern Ireland
Salary: Competitive, DOE
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (41.5 hours per week)
MCS Group is proud to partner exclusively with a global leader in Ground Support Equipment (GSE) manufacturing, to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer for their Dungannon site. Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and deliver engineering projects, meeting system, structural, and functional requirements
* Develop innovative design solutions for new products, service fixes, and improvements
* Produce detailed 3D CAD designs, accurate BOMs, and release drawings
* Support prototype builds, testing, and failure analysis with effective countermeasures
* Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure compliance with legislation and cost targets
* Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities
* Adhere to ISO9001 Quality Management System and Health & Safety policies
Requirements:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
* Proficiency in 3D CAD systems
* Strong grasp of engineering principles
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
* Enthusiastic, proactive, and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines
