We are recruiting for our client in the Barnsley area for a Programme Manager. This is a full time temporary role until end of March 2026. It is a hybrid role working 3 days in the office and 2 days home working. A Basic DBS is required for this role. Purpose of the Post To lead, coordinate, and oversee the implementation of national programmes focused on early intervention and prevention for families. The role ensures effective delivery, service transformation, and accountability, working in partnership with local agencies to reduce reliance on statutory services. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage programme delivery, budgets, and resources to achieve national objectives. Drive change management, service transformation, and cross-agency collaboration. Develop and deliver early help and prevention initiatives with internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate and evaluate multi-agency work, ensuring compliance with inspection frameworks. Lead on data maturity, quality assurance, and performance management. Represent the Local Authority at regional and national forums. Develop funding proposals and business cases, securing investment and managing budgets. Undertake analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement of services. Essential Requirements Degree-level education (Level 6) and Level 7 management/leadership qualification. Proven experience in programme delivery, service transformation, and partnership working. Strong knowledge of childrens and adults services, safeguarding, information governance, and local government frameworks. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated ability to manage change, budgets, and complex projects. Additional Requirements Flexible and proactive approach to work.
