Job Title: Desktop Support Technician
Location: Manchester, UK
About the Role:
As a Desktop Support Technician at ConnexAI, you’ll be key in supporting our internal infrastructure across multiple global offices. Reporting to the Global Head of Infrastructure, you’ll handle day-to-day IT operations, onboarding, and troubleshooting while driving service quality and helping embed a culture of best practice.
Based in our Manchester HQ, you’ll work hands-on with local teams and remotely support international offices to keep everything running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
* Onboard new starters with devices and software using our standard build process
* Maintain the internal asset register
* Manage users and permissions via Active Directory and Group Policy
* Monitor internal systems, including antivirus, WSUS, and third-party updates
* Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and coordinate with vendors as needed
* Configure and support VPN access for remote users
* Set up and maintain VLANs to ensure correct network segmentation
* Support and maintain virtual environments
* Identify opportunities to improve internal IT processes
* Act as an escalation point within the Infrastructure team
* Champion a culture of IT security, reliability, and user-first service

* Microsoft MTA / MCSA / MCSP (required)
* Experience managing virtual environments
