Preparation of Practical Lessons: Set up and prepare equipment, materials, and chemicals for science experiments and demonstrations. Ensure all apparatus is available, functional, and safe to use. Maintenance and Safety: Clean and store equipment after use. Safely handle, label, and store chemicals and hazardous materials in line with COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations. Maintain safety standards, carry out risk assessments, and ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations. Inventory Management: Keep track of stock levels of equipment and chemicals. Order supplies and liaise with suppliers when necessary. Maintain up-to-date records of inventory and safety data sheets. Support During Lessons: Assist science teachers during practical lessons when needed. Troubleshoot any issues with equipment or experiments. Occasionally demonstrate techniques to students.
