The Role
Here at Fortem we’re delighted to confirm that are looking for a pro-active Finishing Foreman to join our branch in Stratford-upon-Avon. We are looking for someone to manage a small team, deputise for the Supervisor and undertake a range of building maintenance work. You will be able to model behaviour that shows respect, helpfulness and co-operation, as you will be face-to-face with residents, direct labour and our sub-contractors onsite.

The Project
Key Responsibilities:
• Deputise for the Supervisor and carry out supervisory duties when required
• Take control of large jobs on a site where more than one trade is required
• Undertake mandatory Health and Safety Inspections for ad hoc and Work in Progress
• Ensure work is undertaken safely and in accordance with all technical standards
• Communicate effectively with tenants
• Stewardship of plant, equipment and materials
• Work safely and in compliance with Fortem Health & Safety requirements
• Take ownership of work and aim for ‘First Time Fix’ on all jobs
• Develop excellent individual and team working relationships
• Remain up to date with technical and legal requirements of skill area
Essential and Desirable Criteria
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
Essential
• Good communication skills
• Attention to detail for supervisory paperwork
• Experience of Health and Safety inspections
• NVQ/qualifications in relation to relevant trade.
• Full UK driving License
• Ability to fully engage with all levels of employees
Desirable
• Experience in Planned works
• Previous experience of leading and directing teams and works
• Past experience in responsive repairs role
• IT Literate
