Summary: The Home Health Aide is a non-licensed member of the patient care team who works under the guidance of the staff nurse to provide personal care to patients. The role requires 75 hours of training and HHA certification. Responsibilities include following the patient's plan of care, maintaining open communication with patients and their families, demonstrating competency with assigned tasks, complying with infection control policies, reporting changes in patient conditions, and respecting patient rights. A Florida driver’s license is required within 30 days of hire.
Education:
* High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Technical - Home Health Aide or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Credentials:
* Credential requirements include HHA (Home Health Aide), CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse).
* Required credentials include BLS (Basic Life Support) and a Florida Driver's License.
Experience:
* Experience in home care is preferred but not required.
