Job Overview:
1. Role: IT Specialist
2. Location: Hybrid work - remote sometimes visit customer sites in Croydon or Manchester
3. Contract: 1st June’26 – 1st Dec’26
4. Mandatory check: SC Clearance
5. Pay Rates: £485/day (via a Hays approved umbrellapany).
6. Time: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
7. Have strong experience of deploying, configuring, and managing the Dynatrace, Grafana or Splunk platforms to monitor applications, services, servers, networks, and cloud resources.
8. Be proficient in collecting, processing, and analysing various telemetry signals (metrics, logs, traces, events)
9. Ability to analyse telemetry data to identify performance bottlenecks, availability risks, and system anomalies
10. Ability to integrate Dynatrace, Grafana or Splunk with ITSM tools (such as ServiceNow) and CI/CD pipelines for proactive monitoring
11. Have good problem-solving abilities with a systematic approach to diagnosingplex technical issues
12. Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify patterns, and draw actionable conclusions
13. Be involved in investigating incident response activities and postmortem analyses using Dynatrace, Grafana or provide insights.
14. Has the ability to troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues on time, ensuring data integrity and reliability
15. Have experience of scripting tools such as Python, PowerShell and CI/CD tools for automation
16. Have good experience of using Cloud solutions such as Azure & AWS and containerized environments (Kubernetes, OpenShift) to implement cloud-native monitoring
17. Have good knowledge of ITSM/incident management tools integration.
18. Interacts with and influences colleagues and has working level contact with customers
19. Applies methodical approach to issue definition and resolution
20. Demonstrates effective application of knowledge
21. Takes action to develop their own knowledge and represents this in their work
Accreditations:
22. Dynatrace Associate & Pro Certifications
23. Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate
24. Splunk Core Certified Power User
Desirable Skills:
25. Cloud platforms experience
26. Experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering role
27. Container native technologies and ecosystem experience
28. The ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing business needs.
29. Automation and DevOps practices
30. Knowledge of tools like Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning
31. Building continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for data engineering applications
32. Using Docker and Kubernetes for packaging and deploying data engineering workloads
