Overview
The Community Development Lead plays a pivotal role in fostering community engagement and stakeholder development in North Solihull. This position requires a dynamic individual who can lead a team effectively, manage projects, and collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve community objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of place-based working experience, community asset development, volunteer leadership skills, marketing / comms acumen, and a passion for tackling inequalities.
Duties
* Manage community projects from inception to completion, ensuring they align with organisational goals.
* Develop and implement strategies to promote community programmes and events.
* Help develop fundraising activities to support community initiatives and enhance resources.
* Oversee aspects of social media management to engage the community and raise awareness of activities.
* Manage and develop volunteers
* Hold stakeholder meetings
* Support bidwriting / grant applications
* Support management of community buildings
* Work as part of a community leadership team to drive the organisation forward
* Support change and uphold values
* Provide administrative support, including budgeting, reporting, and communication with stakeholders.
* Collaborate with public health officials to promote health education and awareness within the community.
* Facilitate teaching sessions or workshops aimed at empowering community members.

* Proven supervising experience in a team-oriented environment.
* Strong community project management capabilities with a track record of successful initiative implementation.
* Demonstrate leadership skills that inspire and motivate others.
* Experience in fundraising efforts that effectively mobilise resources for community projects.
* Knowledge of social media platforms and their role in community engagement.
* Administrative experience that includes organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Understanding of public health principles and practices relevant to community well-being.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From £30,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 23 – 37 per week
