Thorn Baker has teamed up with one of the UK's leading property maintenance and refurbishment groups. A national presence serving sectors such as social housing, defence, hotel and leisure, healthcare, and education, with a turnover of c.£250m and around 1,000 employees, they have grown significantly over the last few years. To support their continued and ambitious growth plans to double in size in the next 4 years, they are seeking a Compliance Surveyor to join theirteam.

Your Responsibilities:
4. Carry out monthly audits of site documentation to ensure it complies with FIRAS /BM TRADA requirements
5. Involvement in the annual FIRAS Audit
6. Feedback on training requirements for operatives ensuring all relevant courses and site required qualifications are maintained and up to date
7. Manage all site survey requirements inclusive of the following
8. Inspect all compartmentation
9. Carry out or manage all door surveys
10. Produce report on Robust details and dimensions for QS to price on.
11. Estimate Timescales and skill sets required for any remedial work
12. Report on site conditions (access, limitations etc.)
13. Provide technical advice and guidance to site operatives and management where appropriate.

Required Skills:
15. Experience in a similar role, within the construction sector
16. Detailed understanding of fire protection products, methods and legislation
17. Commercial awareness
18. Excellent interpersonal skills
19. Proactive team player who can also work well with othersand totight deadlines
20. SMSTS/SSSTS, Asbestos Awareness, FIRAS accreditation to carry out and certify/sign-off works, CSCS Card holder
21. Conversant with systems such as Bolster and Site Audit Pro, andIT proficient - Microsoft Office
22. Inspect and sign-off works to ensure compliance, including intrusive surveys
23. Able to take informed decisions on compliance issues and to formulate compliant solutions.
24. Obtain technical judgements from appropriate suppliers/designers.
25. Able to liaise with site operatives and site management where appropriate.
