About us
Our practice celebrated its 10-year birthday in 2022 and with this are growing and expanding. We are based on the outskirts of the peak district and the countryside but close to local amenities.
Our surgery is purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment and you will be joining a large and experienced team. We are an RCVS accredited practice and are a ISFM Silver Cat Friendly accredited practice.
We have advanced surgeries, orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, ultrasound scan, digital X-rays, acupuncture and much more.
Our amazing team is made up of 3 vets, 4 nurses, 3 client care advisors and a practice manager.
About you and the role
You’ll help with the daily running of the practice to ensure a high standard care for Patients and Clients. Nurses are the heart of our practice and perform an integral clinical role in caring for our patients. You’ll have great communication and organisation skills and take pride in working to a high standard. You will have an interest in and want to learn about, the practice as a business, as well as how to motivate a team to achieve their personal and practice goals. They key to your success will be your ability to embrace all aspects of the Veterinary Nurse role, delivering excellent patient and client care.
Whether you’re a newly qualified RVN looking for your first role in a practice you can really learn and thrive, or an experienced nurse ready to take your career to the next level, we’d love to hear from you! We’ll support you every step of the way and we actively encourage our RVNs to take on Schedule 3 responsibilities such as dental work, Xray’s, as well as the opportunity for nurse led consults, in-house lab work, orthopaedic surgery and routine neutering. If there is a certain area of nursing you have a particular passion for, we are more than happy to see how we can support you with this too!
This role will be part time working 31 hours a week, including 1 in 5 Saturdays. We understand the importance of a healthy work life balance and so if you’re looking for something slightly less then please get in touch!
