About the role We’re offering a fantastic, year-long Industrial Placement as a Content Publishing Assistant to a passionate and enthusiastic self-starter. This is your chance to gain essential, degree-relevant experience by supporting the end to end production of print, digital and audio content for our distinctive Waitrose brand. You will be an integral part of the team, helping us inspire food discovery for millions of customers through our award winning content formats. We will provide you with the broadest experience possible where you will spend time supporting the delivery of our award winning publications, podcast and online content. Salary: Up to £24,000. Please note from 1st April 2026, the salary range for this role will be £26,500 Contract type: This position is a Fixed Term contract for an Industrial Placement (typically 12 months). Proposed Start Date : July 2026 Working pattern/flexible working - The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach, meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The team aim for 1 day per week in the office to connect. Location - Bracknell Key responsibilities Hands-on Production: Support the planning and execution of content across all formats, including our weekly newspaper (Your Week in Food), our magazine (Food), our podcast (Dish), recipe cards and online editorial. Commercial Acumen: Gain unique insight into the content calendar and learn how to monetise content by supporting the end-to-end management of supplier and third-party advertising. Core Business Skills: Assist with the budget and financial process management for the Content team, giving you a valuable understanding of corporate operations. Broadest Experience: Spend your year supporting the delivery of award-winning publications and digital platforms. Essential skills/experience you’ll need A genuine passion for content marketing, journalism and innovations in reaching new audiences with storytelling and entertainment.
