KEY ACTIVITIES - To conduct product build, testing for Production and Development projects. - Carry out pressure testing activities within relevant areas & potentially at third party locations - To ensure that all workshop tasks are organised & controlled in a safe & efficient manner - Operation of the forklift when required - Assist in any relevant engineering projects - To provide support & assistance to the laboratory area & personnel - To assist with maintenance requirements for the building - To assist with stock control and management - Focal point for all goods in and goods out of Aberdeen location - Record all relevant QC information. - Follow QHSE procedures and ensure culture of continuous improvement. - Conduct fault finding as required on defective tools and systems. - Maintenance and repair of all products. - Participate when testing new and modified technology, include running and control of the flow loop. - Contribute to design and development of tools wherever possible. QUALIFICATIONS Essential: Educated to standard/higher grade level Preferred: A recognised apprenticeship in a mechanical discipline EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE Essential: - Demonstrate an ability to operate in a safe manner to all applicable HSE policies, procedures, work instructions & risk assessments - Demonstrate an ability to effectively utilise resources, and the ability to plan, control, and take responsibility for own work. - Demonstrate an ability to work in a team environment, as well as an ability to work unsupervised and exercise initiative to resolve potential problems. - Demonstrate excellent practical skills & knowledge - Strong technical understanding of downhole tools and operation - Experienced in high pressure testing - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, assembly prints and parts lists and follow formal procedures and maintenance practices - Assist with packing and loadouts as requested - Strong computing IT skills and be able proficient in the use of Microsoft suite of programs - Demonstrate an ability to work unsupervised and exercise initiative to resolve potential problems - Demonstrate a strong ability under pressure to meet client delivery expectations Preferred: - Previous practical experience in a workshop environment - Previous tool assembly and pressure testing experience - SAP knowledge PERSONAL QUALITIES - Problem solving approach and a ‘get it right first time’ attitude - Good communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong ability to perform well under pressure of a high and varied work load, tight deadlines and changing job priorities - Attention to detail in all aspects of the job role
