Our Business Services Team is seeking an Company Secretarial Adivser. This role will be instrumental in providing a wide range of company secretarial advice and documentation to colleagues and clients. As a Company Secretarial Adviser, you will be working as part of a team, to provide comprehensive company secretarial support and advice to the client managers in line with Duncan & Toplis practice standards and relevant governmental regulations. You will support and train team members and help support the development of internal processes, policies, procedures and templates.
This role is based in any of our East Midlands offices.

Your responsibilities
Here's a bit more on what you can expect to be doing day-to-day:
* Completing all aspects of a job including paperwork preparation, client communication and maintenance of the database and statutory registers.
* Train assistant team members and review their work as necessary to improve performance.
* Build and maintain technical knowledge in all company secretarial matters and use of specialist knowledge to add value to the CoSec team.
* Developing working relationships with clients and colleagues to create a rapport and assisting in all aspects of your remit.
* Where appropriate, promote our services to clients.
About you
We think you’ll need the following experience and qualifications to succeed in the role:
* Experience within a company secretarial role
* Part qualified in the relevant field(s) - either by qualifications (ICSA/CGI) or experience
* Good knowledge of UK company law, regulation, and best practice
* Strong range of IT skills and experience of database management systems
* High level of attention to detail and organisational skills
* High standard of professional and personal conduct and ethical behaviour
* Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
* The ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a wider team
* Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and manage expectations
