Overview
As a Community Integration Officer, you will be proactively engaging with local Community Groups, Local Authorities, Job Centres and the NHS to source and increase the number of eligible participants that will form part of our IPS delivery in Hull & East Riding. You will actively engage with all aspects of the provision so that you have a full working knowledge of what our contracts offer and are confidently able to promote this to our stakeholders. This engagement will take place through face-to-face interaction, supported by a mix of digital channels. Predominantly based within the local community, the role holder will be expected to increase the number of participants referred to and attending their first meeting on the appropriate service. The role will involve engaging with stakeholders to ensure they are confident in promoting Shaw Trust delivery of our IPS Services. Engaging and interacting with participants during their appointments with Job Centres, local community groups and within the NHS to ensure a seamless referral process. The Community Integration Officer will also be required to work closely with the operational team to support the reengagement of disengaged participants. The ability to drive or have access to strong travel networks is essential for this role. The role will be a targeted role, with monthly and quarterly rolling targets aligned to the referrals and start profiles set by the Commissioner. You will also have a robust and supportive appraisal process to enable you to succeed in your role.
Responsibilities
* Engaging with local Community Groups, Local Authorities, Job Centres and the NHS to source and increase eligible participants for IPS delivery in Hull & East Riding.
* Promoting contract offers to stakeholders.
* Working with operational teams to reengage disengaged participants.
* Travel to community locations as required.
* Meet monthly and quarterly targets as set by the Commissioner.
Essential Qualifications
* Relevant experience in stakeholder engagement external to an organisation.
* Demonstrable experience of successfully working to targets.
* Experience of internal and external partnership working.
* Experience of working with Local Authorities.
* Knowledge of benefit system and employment programmes.
Location
This is a peripatetic role in the community around Hull & East Riding, with no or minimal home working. One of the roles will be based in Hull and one in East Riding.
