Receptionist/ Administrator - Public sector client
Portsmouth| £12.21 per hour | Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm
Join a vital team making a difference in your community. We're looking for an organised and motivated Receptionist/ Administrator to support the work of the Probation Service in Portsmouth.
In this role, you'll help ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations, working with sensitive information, supporting staff and people on probation, and maintaining accurate systems and records.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain and update databases and case files
2. Handle communications via phone, email, and in-person
3. Provide reception cover and support meetings
4. Liaise with internal teams and external agencies
5. Support enforcement and safeguarding processes
6. Uphold confidentiality, equality, and health & safety standards
What we're looking for:
7. Strong admin and IT skills (MS Office)
8. Great communication and organisation
9. Ability to handle sensitive information professionally
10. Calm under pressure and confident dealing with the public
11. Flexible, with a willingness to support occasional evening shifts
