We are seeking a skilled and licensed Journeyman Solar Electrician to join our team on a large-scale agrivoltaic solar project, where renewable energy generation is integrated with agricultural land use. The Journeyman Electrician will perform electrical installations, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance on all phases of photovoltaic (PV) systems and related infrastructure in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), project specifications, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
● Install, terminate, and test AC/DC electrical systems including combiner boxes, inverters, transformers, panelboards, switchgear, and wire management components.

· Switches, circuit breakers, CTs, PTs, transformer installations
· Perform AC/DC wiring, inverter hookups, grounding, and system testing
· Conduct inspections, testing, and quality checks on installed systems
● Interpret blueprints, site plans, wiring diagrams, and project specifications to ensure accurate installation and layout of electrical systems.
● Perform conduit bending, wire pulling, cable terminations, grounding, and bonding per NEC and project guidelines.
● Commission, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical components and PV systems to ensure optimal system performance.
● Coordinate with general contractors, foremen, apprentices, and other trades to ensure efficient workflow and sequencing of tasks.
● Maintain documentation of work performed, materials used, and daily reports as required by the project team.
● Support the integration of electrical systems with agricultural operations on site, maintaining awareness of co-located farming equipment, livestock enclosures, and irrigation systems.
● Adhere to all site-specific safety protocols and OSHA regulations; participate in daily safety meetings and promote a culture of safety and accountability.
● Train and supervise apprentices or less experienced electricians as needed.
Required Qualifications:
● Valid State Journeyman Electrician License (required).
● Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial or utility-scale solar electrical work.
● Deep understanding of NEC, particularly Articles 690 (Solar PV), 705 (Interconnected Electric Power Production Sources), and 250 (Grounding and Bonding).
● Proficient with tools of the trade including conduit benders, multimeters, megohmmeters, thermal imagers, and wire pullers.
● Comfortable working on ladders, at heights, and in elevated or uneven terrain common to solar and agricultural sites.
● Comfortable working outdoors in variable weather conditions and around agricultural elements (plants, fencing, farm animals, etc.).
● Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work at heights or in trenches as needed.
● Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
● OSHA 10 or 30 Certification
● NABCEP Certification (PV Installation Professional or PVIP)
● Experience on agrivoltaic or dual-use solar sites
● Basic knowledge of agricultural infrastructure (irrigation, fencing, animal safety)
