SHE Advisor
An established manufacturing site in Rotherham is seeking a SHE Advisor to play a key role in strengthening and modernising its Health, Safety and Environmental (SHE) function. This SHE Advisor position offers a genuine opportunity to make an impact in a business that is rebuilding, stabilising and investing heavily in its people, systems and culture.
The business is flexible on where your core strength lies. This SHE Advisor role would suit either a candidate with a strong Environmental / Sustainability background who is keen to further develop Health & Safety, or a confident Health & Safety professional who is motivated to grow into the environmental side, with training fully supported. What matters most is that one discipline is a genuine strength rather than a light-touch dual skillset.
The Role
As a SHE Advisor, you will take real ownership of the Environmental agenda, helping to modernise systems that have historically been maintained but now need renewed focus and energy. Key priorities include refreshing and tightening the aspects and impacts register, improving ownership of SHE registers, and proactively driving environmental and sustainability improvements across the site and wider group.
On the Health & Safety side, the focus is firmly on culture rather than compliance. This is not a tick-box environment. The SHE Advisor will be visible on site, building trust from shopfloor to senior leadership, and helping to create a benchmark location where people feel confident and supported.
There will also be regular interaction with other UK sites, sharing best practice and learning across the wider group, including site visits and group SHE meetings.
What They’re Looking For
* Strong background in Environmental / Sustainability or Health & Safety
* NEBOSH qualification (or working towards)
* Proactive, improvement-focused mindset
* Confident communicator who enjoys being on the shopfloor
* Passion for environmental improvement and positive safety culture
Why Join?
This is a SHE Advisor role within a growing business that is actively investing in its future. You’ll join a stable leadership team, a rebuilding department with momentum, and a flexible working culture that genuinely supports work–life balance. The role offers strong visibility, exposure to customers and auditors, and the chance to shape a function rather than simply maintain it.
Working Pattern: Full-time, flexible hours (early start / early finish culture)
