Rate Of Pay
£13.25 per hour (non-driver)
£14.25 per hour (driver with business insurance)
About The Role
We are looking for a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Support Worker to work with a young person with additional needs in the Seaham area. The role involves providing support for 3 hours every Saturday, helping the young person to access activities, build confidence, and enjoy time in the community in a safe and positive way.
You will be working alongside another member of staff, supporting the young person together while out in the community.
Key Responsibilities
Providing friendly, patient, and supportive care
Working alongside another support worker during community outings
Supporting the young person to access social, recreational, and community-based activities
Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive engagement
Ensuring the young person's safety and wellbeing at all times
Following guidance from parents/carers and any agreed support plans
For drivers: assisting with or providing transport to community activities (if required)
About You
Kind, patient, and understanding with a genuine interest in supporting young people
Reliable and punctual
Able to work well as part of a small team
Experience working with children or young people with additional xlqdzyr needs is desirable but not essential
Driver preferred but not essential
Drivers must hold a full UK driving licence and business insurance
Additional Information
Full training and ongoing support will be provided
A DBS check will be required (or willingness to undertake one)
This role would suit someone looking for part-time, weekend work, including students, carers, or experienced support workers
