We are recruiting a lettings and neighbourhoods specialist to work for a North West housing association covering the Lancs region.

Your new role

This is a full-time role, Monday–Friday. This is mainly a home-based role and there is no daily requirement to attend an office with the flexibility to attend as and when required, but we do ask that you attend at a minimum of once per week. The reporting office is based in Accrington.The purpose of the role is to co-ordinate the lettings process and support the neighbourhood’s team administration. This post is managing a busy patch and will require a high level of organisational skills.
Responsibilities will include:
Letting Our Homes

1. Managing re-housing waiting lists proactively so that offers can be made. Ensuring nomination targets are met and building strong relationships with local authority partners and choice-based letting providers.
2. Responding to lettings enquiries and housing options enquiries and providing housing advice to potential clients. Help with high-needs and high-quality applicants, including active participation in initiatives such as Home + and flagging support needs.
3. Overseeing affordability assessments to check if applicants can afford to rent the property and ensuring that applicants have provided correct documentation.
4. Carrying out tenancy fraud checks, ensuring that applicants are entitled to the correct property and ensuring their application is correct.
5. Develop adverts and marketing campaigns in partnership with Neighbourhood Specialists.
6. Ensuring accurate tenancy agreements and sign-up packs are produced.
7. Ensuring new and prospective customers receive an excellent customer service experience during the lettings process.
General Administration tasks will include:

8. Process Subject Access Requests when required.
9. Administrative work on behalf of the local authority to administer their CBL systems, which involves inputting/processing housing applications, making banding assessments on customers and dealing with rehousing queries and advice. May be required to assist with office reception cover.

What you'll need to succeed

It is essential you have experience of delivering customer service to a high standard, and you have experience of partnership working. Strong team work and IT skills will be required, and you will be able to use Microsoft Office to an intermediate level. Ideally, you will have experience of working in lettings, preferably within a housing association or Local Authority.
