Spire Parkway Hospital have an exciting opportunity for an experience Healthcare Assistant to join our Outpatient department on a Bank – flexible working contract.
Spire Parkway Hospital in Solihull, West Midlands offers a comprehensive range of private hospital services. Our hospital is rated Good by the CQC for all parts of the inspection except for Patient Care, which is rated Outstanding. The report states, "Staff treated patients with compassion and kindness, respected their privacy and dignity, took account of their individual needs, and helped them understand their conditions. They provided emotional support to patients, families and carers."
Our dedicated hospital team are passionate about excellent patient care and we offer a range of specialist treatments to patients across Birmingham, Warwickshire and the West Midlands. This includes diagnostic services, rehabilitation, cutting-edge surgical procedures and excellence in specialist fields like orthopaedics, women's health and cancer care. We have 51 bedrooms and five operating theatres.
Duties and responsibilities:
As a Bank Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical teams across multiple departments, including Outpatients (OPD), Pre-Operative Assessment (POA), Pathology, and Ward. You will help ensure patients receive a smooth and efficient experience throughout their journey with us.

* Provide exemplary patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and clinicians
* Support and monitor patients during their time in clinic
* Recognise and report any changes in a patient's condition to the appropriate healthcare professional
* Assist with the safe movement and handling of patients in accordance with hospital policies
Who we are looking for:
* Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant (or equivalent) in a hospital or clinical setting is essential
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable
* Competency in ECGs, phlebotomy, blood pressure monitoring, and patient observations is required
