Description As a Transaction Processing Associate in the EMEA CEM & Rates Middle Office, you will provide direct support to senior Operational Management and act as a key contact for downstream groups. You will lead process improvements, manage complex product coverage, and ensure the accurate capture and representation of PnL and risk for trading desks. This role requires strong leadership, advanced product knowledge, and the ability to drive efficiency in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Our Middle Office currently supports approx. 80 traders with a trade volume of 105,000 per day, due to this high demanding volume we must ensure our controls monitoring this population are accurately and efficiently completed. Key Responsibilities Perform deal reviews within Service Level Agreements, including term sheet and legal confirmation checks. Lead the monitoring of trade lifecycle event processing and analyse manual touch-points using MIS. Build relationships across the business to initiate and drive change discussions. Liaise with Marketing Support, Trade Support, and Back Office control groups. Ensure accurate and timely escalation of unissued/unexecuted documents. Identify and educate on incorrect booking practices to drive process efficiency. Prepare and analyse weekly MIS and monthly control packs for Senior Management. Participate in system enhancement testing, project implementation, and new business initiatives. Identify control gaps and propose improvement ideas for greater efficiency and effectiveness. Investigate and resolve issues in a timely manner, adhering to business standards. Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills Strong partnership and stakeholder management abilities. Advanced knowledge and experience with derivatives products. Ability to handle high complexity and shift priorities in a fast-paced trading environment. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Deep understanding of control frameworks and operational risk. High level of computer literacy and keyboard skills. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Preferred Skills Experience leading process improvement or strategic projects. Advanced proficiency in risk management and reporting systems. Ability to analyse MIS data and report trends/spikes. Experience with regulatory reporting and compliance. Proven track record of building and sustaining strong working relationships across business lines. Ability to educate and mentor junior team members. Strong organizational and time management skills.
