What You'll Do
As a Support Worker, you'll be part of a dedicated team in our Ofsted-registered Supported Accommodation Home in Torquay, providing 24/7 support.
Your role will include:
* Supporting young people and with daily routines, education, and personal development.
* Promoting positive activities and community involvement.
* Acting as a role model and advocate.
* Contributing to support plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding.
* Working shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
* Aged 21+
* Right to work in the UK (unable to offer sponsorship)
* Full UK manual driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance
* Calm under pressure and confident in residential care settings
* Understanding of safeguarding, child development, and behaviour management
Desirable:
* NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, Youth Work, or Education
* Enhanced portable DBS
* Knowledge of welfare benefits, housing options, and mental health issues
* Interests or hobbies you can share with young people (e.g. cooking, sports, music)
