Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated, experienced Electrical Engineer who has demonstrated their technical excellence in the field of building services and is looking for the opportunity to join a dynamic team with real potential for progression. The role requires a strong communicator who can collaborate effectively within teams, maintain commercial awareness throughout project lifecycles, and consistently deliver high‑quality technical engineering work. The ideal candidate is career‑driven and committed to supporting the development of our graduates and technicians.

As part of a collaborative team of over 20 engineers and technicians in the Glasgow office and a wider 100+ engineers and technicians within the North region, this opportunity will give the right candidate ownership of their project work, and the responsibility and freedom to manage tasks and plan their work. The team is currently involved in the delivery of a number of local, national and international projects that include major infrastructure, property, renewables, healthcare, commercial, science and industrial projects.

Working at Arup presents every opportunity for growth and progression, whether that be in technical expertise or into project management. We will work with the right candidate to understand and help develop their career path into the type of senior engineer or leader they wish to become.

At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective – in which we encourage individuality to thrive. Our strength comes from how we respect, share and connect our diverse experiences, perspectives and ideas.

You will have the opportunity to do socially useful work that has meaning – to Arup, to your career, to our members and to the clients and communities we serve.
