Title: Rail Project Manager
Salary: Up to £65k ~ some flexibility.
Location: Holborn ~ 3 days in office weekly
Overview:
La Fosse has partnered with an international, market-leading media, broadcasting, and outdoor organization, seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver complex projects within a £200 million infrastructure programme for a transportation client.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and deliver projects within scope, budget, and safety standards, complying with CDM regulations 2015.
* Create comprehensive project plans including budgets, timelines, and resources.
* Guide project teams through all phases from scoping to commissioning, ensuring goals and deadlines are met.
* Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
* Supervise contractors to ensure compliance with scope, specifications, and safety.
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization for CAPEX projects.
* Coordinate with finance and procurement to manage costs and contractor performance.
* Collaborate with engineering, procurement, operations, and finance departments.
* Act as the main contact for stakeholders, ensuring effective communication.
* Manage contractor relationships and compliance with project standards.
* Ensure projects meet regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.
* Implement quality assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle.
* Conduct post-project reviews for continuous improvement.
* Maintain detailed project documentation and reports.
* Provide regular updates to senior management.
* Oversee project closeout and transition to operations.
Experience Needed:
* 5+ years managing rail infrastructure projects.
* Experience with construction contracts such as NEC, JCT, CCN.
* Experience with roadside, highway, or rail installation and commissioning projects.
* Managing contractors and suppliers within NEC3/4 or similar frameworks.
* Knowledge of CDM regulations 2015 and safety management.
* Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Primavera P6, and document management systems like ASite.
* Experience leading project teams and managing direct reports.
