Your newpany is a leader in their field, based near Alfreton and, following a sustained period of growth, are seeking a Finance Manager to join their finance team. Reporting to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will play a key role in the finance team and deputise for the Finance Director. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to grow their career in a SME environment.
Your new role
Your new role will include but not be limited to:
1. Production of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
2. Year-end audit preparation and statutory reporting support
3. Strong Excel skills and experience improving/reporting via ERP systems
4. Rebate accounting and revenue recognition
5. Stock accounting, inventory reconciliations, and manufacturing cost analysis
6. Gross margin reporting andmercial performance insight
7. Budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
8. Variance analysis and operational decision support
9. Robust financial controls and process improvement implementation
10. Identification of efficiencies and reporting enhancements
11. Team leadership, including payroll and credit control oversight
12. Stakeholder engagement with finance and non-finance teams
13. Business partnering to support operational andmercial functions
14. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
15. Hands-on, proactive approach within fast-paced SME environments
What you'll need to succeed
16. Previous experience in a similar role and the ability to deputise for the FD
17. Fully qualified CIMA/ACCA or part-qualified or studying towards qualification, or qualified by experience
18. Proactive, process improvement mindset
19. Hands-on team support and leadership
20. Strongmunication & business partnering skills
21. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced SME environment
