The Head Teacher and Governors of Pentrebane Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and reflective higher level teaching assistant to join our Special Resource Base to provide the best for our children. This is an excellent opportunity for a teaching assistant with a dedication to additional needs to work as part of a dedicated team. Pentrebane is a small Primary school with approximately 200 pupils, 25 of whom are in the Special Resource Base which supports children for whom communication and interaction
is their primary need. The successful candidate will play an important part in the school’s improvement journey.
The successful candidate will have significant experience of working with pupils with ASD in a primary setting, have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to establish effective working relationships with children, staff, parents and other professionals. Good standards of literacy and numeracy and understanding of child development are also essential.
